SUMMARY:Conservationist on Sea Shepherd - Simon Ager
DESCRIPTION:For the last twelve years\, Simon has participated in some twenty-eight global marine-based campaigns with the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society\, in diverse roles including bridge officer\, ships manager\, scuba diver\, and Zodiac driver\, but primarily as a photographer. His images have appeared in The New York Times\, National Geographic New Zealand\, and Oceanographic\, as well as books and mainstream media. \nSimon’s work in conservation has seen him venture to Antarctica for five seasons to defend cetaceans and stop illegal fishing in the region. One of his campaigns lasted 110 days without seeing land\, now the longest pursuit in maritime history.
