Boleh talk

Boleh means ‘can’ in Malay and it is this ‘can do’ philosophy which has driven the Boleh Trust, first to restore Boleh and then to put her back to work, restoring self-confidence, developing teamwork and rebuilding lives. Boleh herself is a 40ft historic junk yacht built in Singapore by Malay shipwrights and sailed to Salcombe, Devon with a Naval crew in 1950 by her owner and designer, Commander Robin Kilroy DSC. Re-launched in 2015, MCA-coded and a Registered Historic Ship, Boleh now provides a unique sailing experience for those who will benefit most. Boleh is based in Haslar Marina and sails locally within Portsmouth Harbour, along the South Coast an annually deploys to Portland to sail dozens of school children and army cadets for whom we run Comp. Crew courses. We also run corporate / private skippered charters for fund raising purposes. The aims of The Boleh Trust are to: Help young people facing challenges Build self-confidence and developing teamwork Support serving members of the Armed Forces and their families. Help others through Boleh's inspirational 'can do' experience.
